What your classic Alfa Romeo needs is an alternator upgrade. The OEM alternator was "okay" for its day, but it is a limitation even with a purely stock car. If you wish to make any electronic upgrades to your old Alfa Romeo, such as headlights or a radio, then an alternator upgrade is a must!
This direct bolt-in upgrade installs easily and will be under-stressed for normal electrical loads when compared to your original alternator. This alternator is also ready to supplement your electronics upgrades such as high output headlights, modern audio equipment, phone chargers, etc.
Our alternator upgrade includes new hardware and new heavy gauge cooper wires with the necessary connectors already installed.
Note: while the alternator is a direct fit for all V6 models, it can be retrofitted to the 4 cylinder models as well. Spider owners will need to change their Spider's v-belt to Gates 7335. They will also need to use an oil filter with smaller external dimensions, and may need to use different bolts/hardware as well.
For GTV6/Milano/75, the OE belt is retained. Everything is a direct fit.
